Selma Community Housing Wins National Multi-Housing News Excellence Award

Abode Communities is pleased to announce that Selma Community Housing is the winner of the Multi-Housing News (MHN) Excellence Award in Gold in the category of Best Development & Design: Affordable.

The MHN Excellence Awards represent the national multifamily housing sector’s most innovative and ingenious achievements. As such, Selma Community Housing received accolades from the judges for the development’s innovative joint-use model that offers 66 affordable homes to families and Los Angeles Unified School District staff as a means to foster employee retention and work/life balance. A LEED for Homes Platinum-rated development, Selma was also acknowledged for its outstanding environmental sustainability, proximity to the Hollywood & Highland Red Line light rail station, and perhaps most importantly, the mission-critical resident services programming that is offered to residents via Abode Communities’ signature resident services program, Beyond Homes.
