Abode Communities Awards $50,000 through Building Hope Scholarship Program
The 2019 Building Hope Scholarship Awards celebrated five graduating high school senior residents in their pursuit to higher education. Each student received $10,000 over four years and to their surprise, a new, fully-loaded HP laptop!
The students competed through an online application and in-person interview were assessed by committee in the areas of academic achievement, community involvement, essay writing, and more.
Honoree Jamilet Reyes shared, “It is highly important for me to have a quality education because I do not have the option to throw my life away, especially after everything my parents have sacrificed for me. Hope is what most students depend on, and without it they can get lost in this world.”
