Four Months Ahead of Renovation Schedule of 348 Veterans/Senior Homes in Long Beach

Abode Communities and co-general partner American Gold Star Manor (AGSM) are ahead of schedule for the $109 million turn-key rehabilitation of AGSM, a 21.7-acre campus featuring 348 affordable homes for Gold Star Families, veterans, and seniors in the City of Long Beach. Originally estimated to be completed in three years, AGSM is 50% complete and is expected to complete four months ahead of schedule by December 2018. The substantial rehabilitation of AGSM includes new building infrastructures, tenant improvements, compliance upgrades, and accessibility upgrades. Upon completion, AGSM will ensure long-term affordability for decades to come via HUD Rental Assistance Demonstration Program funding.
